Milk to Mealtime began as a heartfelt response to a need I saw time and again in my work as a Speech and Language Therapist. Throughout my decade-long career in the public sector, specialising in paediatric feeding challenges, I encountered so many families desperate for the kind of help that wasn’t available through traditional channels. Long waiting lists, restrictive thresholds, and limited resources left many parents without the feeding support they needed. I knew something had to change.
With no formal business training but a strong desire to create something meaningful, I built Milk to Mealtime from the ground up—quite literally overnight! I started with a simple website, which I designed and launched myself. Then, I took to social media, creating an Instagram presence where I could connect directly with families who might need support. My vision from the start was to provide expert feeding advice that was flexible, personalised, and easily accessible—no matter where parents are in their journey or what kind of feeding difficulties they might be facing.
What started as a passion project has now grown into a supportive, thriving community. From those early days, my mission has always been to help parents feel more confident and empowered when it comes to feeding their little ones. Whether you’re just starting out with bottle feeding and feeling unsure or you’ve hit a bump in the road with a toddler’s picky eating habits, my aim is to give you the tools and guidance to feel supported and understood, without judgment.
Finding Flexibility
One of the main reasons I started Milk to Mealtime was to offer families the kind of flexible support that’s often hard to find in more formal settings. As a mum myself, I know firsthand how challenging feeding journeys can be. Every baby and child is unique, which is why cookie-cutter solutions just don’t work for everyone. With Milk to Mealtime, I provide tailored advice, working closely with each family to meet their individual needs and goals.
I’ve made it a priority to offer both in-person and online consultations, so no matter where you are, you can access the support you need. From bottle aversion to weaning struggles to fussy eating, I cover the full feeding spectrum, ensuring you always have a helping hand when you need it.
Looking Forward
As I reflect on Milk to Mealtime’s beginnings, I’m both humbled and excited for the future. My dream has always been to reach as many families as possible with compassionate, expert advice. I hope to continue growing this community, adding more resources and accessible programmes, and continuing to offer support that makes a real difference in parents’ lives.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far! If you haven’t already, head to the website to learn more about our services and connect with me on Instagram, where I share tips, strategies, and stories from parents just like you. Let’s continue this journey together. 💛
